چکیده
The present study was carried out to investigate contamination of heavy metals in 19 fish species from the Banan section of Chongqing in the Three gorges, yangtze River. The results showed that the mean concentrations of heavy metals were higher in intestine than muscle, except zinc in upper strata. In the fish inhabiting the upper strata, there were significant differences between mean concentrations of as, Cr, Cu and hg in muscle and intestine (P <0.05). There were also significant differences between mean concentrations of Cr and Cu in muscle and intestine in the fish inhabiting middle strata. however, significant differences between mean concentrations of as, Cd, hg, Pb and zn were measured in fish inhabiting bottom strata in both intestine and muscle tissues (P <0.05). For the fish inhabiting different strata, the concentrations of as, Cd, Cr, Cu, hg and Pb in muscle and intestine of the fish from bottom strata (BS) were higher than those in both upper strata (US) and middle strata (MS); whereas a higher concentration of zn was measured in muscle and intestine from fish inhabiting upper strata. Mean metal concentrations were found to be higher in age II than those in age I in Coreius heterodon (2and 1-year odl fish respectively). The overall results indicated that fish muscle in the Banan section were slightly contaminated by heavy metals, but did not exceed Chinese food standards.

Health assessment of heavy metals (Pb, Zn, Cd and Cu) in muscle, gonads and probable digestive parasites of Pike
The present study was performed to measure heavy metals (Pb, Zn, Cd and Cu) in the muscle, liver, gonad, intestine and digestive parasites of Pike (Esox lucius) in Anzali wetland. For this purpose, 90 fish Pike were sampled from Anzali wetland during 2020 and in the reproductive season (winter). During the experiment, total length, fork length, standard length and total weight were measured. Th...
متن کاملBioaccumulation of heavy metals (Cd and Pb) in muscle tissue of Leaping Grey Mullet (Liza saliens) from the Gomishan International Wetland
Heavy metals are non-biodegradable and tend to accumulate in tissues of organisms such as fish. Considering the various health risks and the nutritional benefits associated with fish consumption; assessment of heavy metals in fish tissues is important. The present study aims to measure and assess lead and cadmium concentrations in the muscles of Liza saliens from the Gomishan International Wet...
متن کاملHeavy Metals Concentrations and Human Health Risk Assessment for Three Common Species of Fish from Karkheh River, Iran
Background: The concentrations of heavy metals in the tissues and organs of fishes indicate the concentrations of heavy metals in water and their accumulation in food chains. In the present study, the concentrations of Zn, Cu, Cd, Ni, V and Pb in three common species of fish and the potential health risks to local residents via consumption of the fishes were estimated. Methods: The con...

This study conducted to determine the amount of the heavy metals such as Cd, Ni, and Pb in the muscle tissue of Hoof benthic fish (Psettodes erumei) and urban pelagic fish () in Qeshm Island in the north of the Persian Gulf. Overall, the heavy metal content Lethrinus nebulosus of 30 tissue samples was randomly measured by atomic absorption spectrometer. The mean amount of Cd (0.16+ 0.002 ) and ...
